"Big Al" as we knew him in the barnyard,
was a handsome stinky fellow who enjoyed his work (pictured with his wether buddy). He has been shown all across New England
but most shows don't have enough Obie bucks to be official. I believe
that he has one restricted leg while showing in Windsor, ME. I would
like to thank John Miglio of Windrace Farms for allowing this handsome
boy to add a great deal of genetics to our breeding program.
Accomplishments of Some Offspring:
Nat's Little Bit Allegro Tenor (son) now
residing at Mountain Spring Farm, CT.
2004 D2 Oberhasli Specality Champion, Altamont, NY
2005 AGS National Champion Oberhasli Buck, Springfield, MA
2005 BBIS Southern Vermont ADGA show.
Nat's Little Bit Violet: (doe retained in herd)
2005 AGS National Champion Jr Oberhasli
2005 Bridges ADGA Show Big E Grounds RCH Jr.
Allegro was used heavily in 2003/2004
and he has many daughters in our herd and has offspring in New York
and Vermont. We will hopefully be
freshening out a few of those daughters to see what type of mammaries
to expect. Unfortunately, during a severe Northeastern in
Febuary 2005, Allegro suffered a compound fracture of his rear cannon
bone while attempting to scale an icy, snow covered livestock panel
and had to be euthanized. We are devastated that he was not
collected which has become a challenge now with the passing of Roger
Ives.
Allegro has 18 daughters and 2 sons residing in New England, in over 5
herds.
Allegro is listed here as a reference.
